Distributed Studio

We have a Distributed Studio with three departments: script development, production, and a post-production/mastering.

The Writers’ Room

The script process revolves around what we call a Writers’ Room. We have seven experienced, professional scriptwriters who are a part of this Writers’ Room. The Room is actually a virtual meeting place because these writers are “distributed” in different locations. We have a description of the kinds of films we are looking to have developed, called a Spec Sheet, along with an elaboration of themes and genres. Writers will submit pitches to the Writers’ Room to be considered. These pitches are evaluated by our Studio department heads—Script, Production, and Field Use—then approved by the Executive Producers.

Production Process

The production process is much the same. Once a script has been approved, we ask for production submissions to complete the film. Writers who also have production capability will be able to make the first bid. This will involve submitting storyboards, production budgets and timelines. As much as possible, we will try to combine multiple scripts into an overall production schedule to save cost.

Post-Production

Some of the mastering process will be accomplished by leveraging multiple productions into a facility at the same time. This will give us better rates while adding some consistency to the final presentation of each film.

Submissions

If you’re a writer, you will work through our Writers’ Room to submit ideas and/or develop them into full screenplays based on our Spec Sheet. For more info about submitting a pitch, contact us.

If you’re a director/producer, you will need to submit storyboards, budgets and timelines to take it to actual production. We will select screenplays on which you bid based on your capabilities, experience and location. For more info about potentially directing or producing a film with us, contact us.

We provide a studio structure to ensure good ideas move smoothly to final production and distribution. You will be brought into contact with others who will add to your creativity and skill.

For those wanting to advance their filmmaking skills we have a limited On-Location Shadowing/Apprentice Program.

If you have a pre-existing film which fits our Spec Sheet that you would like us to consider distributing, please contact us for more info.
