In-Flight Training: Apprenticeship

The teaching method we use follows a mentoring and training model, rather than the more rigid and structured model of most academic institutions. Our goal is to give wings to you as a filmmaker. As such, we extend our trust to the students and expect a healthy sense of personal responsibility from them. Students are mentored in the power of media arts, as well as apprenticed in film and media production. This allows them to be brought inside actual creative sessions in an exciting “boundary-less” environment.

At the core of our films is good story. All of our apprentices receive training in story structure. Time is then spent on technical aspects of moviemaking, including lighting and cinematography. This program provides Real World Experience involving participation in a professional film shoot, and a chance to interact with a number of working professionals.

The primary mission is not simply the development of art, but the development of the artist. Therefore, integrated into the quality technical training is a strong spiritual formation, helping students realize they are called not only to form images, but also to be transformed into the image of Christ, modeling a servant attitude with the skills of Leadership, Creativity, Perseverance, Character and Integrity.

The cost is $449 tuition. You will be responsible for transportation, housing and food – which will be determined by the production location. Please contact us for availability on our next shoots.
